Getting Started
Open the Election Analysis Panel
Click the "Show Election Analysis Panel" button in the top right corner of the map to begin your analysis.
Select Races and Candidates
Choose two races (or the same race twice) from the dropdown menus, then select the candidates you want to compare.
Explore the Data
The map will color-code precincts based on the relative performance of your selected candidates. Hover over any precinct to see detailed vote counts.
Advanced Options
District Filtering
Filter results by School District or King County Council District to focus on specific areas of interest.
Vote Thresholds
Set minimum vote requirements to focus on precincts with significant turnout or remove small outliers.
Color Schemes
Adjust the color palette or reverse them to customize your visualization.
Ratio Controls
Adjust the min/max ratio values to highlight specific voting proportion ranges.
About This Tool
This mapping tool allows you to analyze and compare voting patterns between candidates across King County, WA precincts. You can compare candidates from different races or within the same race, helping identify voting trends and patterns across geographic areas.
